Lab grown diamonds are simulated diamonds made up of all the same materials and properties as a natural diamond. The only difference between the two is their origin: one is created in a lab and the other is mined from the Earth! There are different methods used to create lab grown diamonds. They generally start out with a tiny diamond seed that is then placed in a chamber that provides high pressure, heat, and a carbon source- this process makes the crystals grow, layer by layer.
