How to Avoid Diamond Switching - Why You Can Trust Us
Diamond Switching Prevention
So what is diamond switching? This is when an unreputable, shady jeweler sells you a good, high quality diamond, but when the stone is being set it gets switched out to a fake, cubonic zinc (c.z.) diamond instead. This doesn't happen too often, but it's happened to enough people that we want to ensure that you get what you pay for. It can be super hard to tell which is which so below are some ways to help.

When buying in store there are some precautions that you can take in order to be sure you get the real deal. The first step we recommend would be to search up the jeweler's reputation, you can go to Federal Trade Commission website to see if there has been any shady business going on. We also suggest making sure that you get a certificate (GIA) from your jeweler and that they have the necessary testing equipment to check your diamond. Make sure to get a written agreement down before you put money (especially cash) down to make sure there's a paper trail left in case your jeweler decides to swindle you. All in all, these steps can help keep your peace of mind when going to a jeweler, it should be easy to get everything you need from a trusted jeweler.
